The same name is not the same starting point
You return after a month to an original adult field-scientist character. You remember the name and coat color, but not which visual model produced the accepted reference. A companion profile can preserve a fictional identity while still failing to describe the production setup that made a particular image.
MyLovely’s About page advertises persistent identity across chat, images and video. TensorArt’s tutorial index instead exposes model, workflow and LoRA routes. The restart record should match the object you are trying to preserve.
Pack a record another session can understand
| Preserve | Visual production project | Continuing companion |
|---|---|---|
| Stable identity | Accepted appearance brief/reference | Appearance, personality, background and voice choices |
| Current work | Scene prompt and accepted composition | Current location, agreement and unresolved decision |
| Production details | Model/version, workflow and exposed settings | Accepted media and the profile used for that scene |
| Reason to keep an output | Which visual requirements it met | Which identity and story facts it respected |
These are suggested external records, not claims that either product exports this exact package.
TensorArt’s March 11 update documents model search using @sha256 followed by the hash value. If a model hash is available in your project record, that is more precise than searching only a common display name. It locates a model; it does not guarantee the same output when settings, workflow or service behavior differ.
Resume with one known reference
Reopen the accepted picture and compare one new ordinary scene against its fixed features. Keep pose, lighting and expression separate from identity. If the model or profile has changed, record that change instead of treating the new attempt as a controlled repeat.
For MyLovely, restore the active agreement in your own brief as well as the appearance. A recognizable portrait does not show whether the character still knows that a field trip was postponed. Its persistent-identity claim is not a verified export or portability guarantee.
For TensorArt, do not assume every route has the same seed, CFG or step controls. The official March 18 Fast Mode note says Steps and CFG are disabled in that mode. Preserve the route and mode, not just a desired parameter list.
A copied character description therefore does not constitute a migration. Choose a model/workflow record when reproducing a visual series is the priority; choose a profile-and-scene record when continuing an identity is the priority. Keep accepted assets locally so the project can resume even if the platform’s gallery or model menu changes.
